Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Torro (mytorro.com), Los Angeles, California, USA (“Torro”, “we”) collects, why, and the choices you have. Torro does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
1. What we collect
- Account: name, email, date of birth, city, @username, the profiles you belong to and your role in them. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, your email address and that Google has verified it — nothing else from your Google account.
- What you add: posts, photos, videos, stories, comments, messages, tasks, offers, deal memos, availability (“can’t play” days) and settings.
- Activity: follows, likes, “going”, searches you save, notifications read.
- Devices: the browser and system of the devices you sign in on, when they were last active, push-notification tokens if you allow them.
- Support: what you send to Support, Feedback or a bug report, including technical details if you choose to send them.
- Public facts for unofficial pages: names, cities, genres and gig dates published by bands, venues and ticket sellers.
2. Why
To run Torro (your account, profiles, crews, offers, messages); to keep it safe (fraud, spam, abuse); to send the notifications and emails you choose; to improve it; and to meet legal duties. In the EU/EEA and UK our legal bases are the contract with you, our legitimate interests (safety, improving Torro, unofficial pages from public facts), your consent (newsletter, push) and legal obligations.
3. Who sees what
Posts and public profiles are public. Crew content (tasks, crew chat, offers, “can’t play” days and reasons) is visible only to that crew; venues see only that a day is taken. Chat messages are visible to the people in the conversation.
4. Service providers
We use providers for hosting and storage, email delivery, payments (card details go straight to the payment provider), push notifications and GIF search (KLIPY receives the search words, not who you are). They process data only for us, under contract.
5. How long
As long as your account exists. After you delete your account it is removed within 30 days, except comments shown as “Deleted user”, offers and deal memos kept by the other party, and records we must keep by law. Technical logs are kept up to 12 months.
6. Your rights
You can see, correct, download (Settings → Account → Download my data) and delete your data, object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent at any time. California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither) and will not be discriminated against for using them. EU/EEA and UK residents may also complain to their data-protection authority.
7. Unofficial pages
If Torro made a page about you from public facts, we let you know within a month where we can, and you can claim it or ask us to remove it — we do within 48 hours. You choose how: remove only the page, remove the page and never promote your gigs, or remove you completely (your name disappears from gig listings too).
8. Children
Torro is not for children under 13. If we learn we hold data of a child under 13, we delete it.
9. Storage on your device
Torro keeps your settings (language, theme, the profile you act as) in your browser’s storage so the app works. We don’t use advertising cookies.
10. International transfers
Torro is based in the USA and may process data there and in the EU. Where required we use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
